Welcome to GMBiAM Warrington Branch, we have been selected as part of a few branches to trial the new GMBiAM dedicated intranet and we hope you will take an active part over the next few months. GMBiAM is password protected and only open to GMB members. Each branch has a specific conversation area with only branch members accessing that area.
The idea is to create an area that branch members can login and interact with other GMB branch members, update themselves on branch specific news and contact branch officials. Rather than wait for a newsletter, leaflets, flyers or a branch official to visit your workspace members can login at a time that suits and interact.
This is not a social media profile; it is not open to the wider public, a rather dedicated closed intranet. However basic rules of interaction must apply, example language or offensive comments should not be used and the branch administrators will be able to delete as appropriate.
Using GMBiAM,
You can create a conversation, upload images and documents or include a video link.
You can follow conversations that interest you
You can comment on conversations to share your opinion, upload supporting documents/images/video links
A quick link access to these will be found on the right of your profile
A dedicated page with branch contacts will be available to you too
Branch officials will create conversations to share information, which you can follow and/or comment on
Other branch members can create conversations, which you can follow and/or comment on
We will welcome any input/suggestions from you about GMBiAM and after a few months if the trial is successful we will be looking to roll out to the rest of the region. Yes, we are the first region to identify the use of this technology and the first to implement a trial.
